Musicians. DJ's. Sound designers. Proponents of that classic and pure spirit of the underground - where an element of risk and a common desire can draw a dance floor together into a shared experience, each member playing their part in creating the night. Based out of Minneapolis and now making frequent trips throughout the US, the pair have steadily built a reputation for high energy performances (both DJ & LIVE PA) and nights to remember. Meanwhile, the past 5 years of studio collaboration have seen Complicit release well received EP's & remixes on Nonpop Records, Grid Based Beats, Innerflight, Subspec and Aerotek and there will be no slowing down in 2015 with forthcoming EP's on Eternal Drive Recordings, SecreTechno, Rheostatus, and Grid Based Beats. Sound > The duo have forged a compositional style thick with substantial lows, layered with subtle melodic and percussive gestures, and full of dance floor appeal. Dark and moody, heavy and hypnotic, and always seeking balance - their sound reflects a shared passion for investing in the process, for embracing an ever evolving workflow, and for delivering results that make an impact. To attend a Complicit event is to enter an auditory landscape whose real time system-sharing symbiosis reflects a balancing act of duties divided by frequency range: with one rolling out deep bass and drums as the other cuts through with sharp synths and evocative upper register atmospherics.
