- Pioneer's of UK Funky House, Crazy Cousinz showed early signs of a musical talent, classically trained on the piano and saxophone as a child Flukes soon moved on to DJing & producing which he has now been doing for over 9 years. With already a major DJ..With a career spanning well over 15 years, Crazy Cousinz AKA Flukes is one of the UK’s most celebrated pioneers of Funky House. With an innate ability to not just move with the times, but help lead them, his authentic and classic sound has seen Crazy Cousinz become a household name synonymous with top quality music no matter the genre. Finding his passion for music at a young age, Luke started out playing the keyboard and saxophone in school, which led him on the path to creating electronic music in secondary school. With the likes of The Neptunes and Timbaland as his inspiration, Luke began producing full time and DJing nights in London. At the height of the UK Funky House movement, Luke found himself receiving bookings at the likes of Ministry of Sound and Pacha London, which secured his position in the UK scene. Building up a solid reputation across the global music world, Crazy Cousinz has performed standout performances at major events such as Glastonbury, Elrow Festival, Boiler Room Berlin and toured all over the globe including sets at sets at South Korea’s renowned Cakeshop, Ibiza’s Ibiza Rocks, Boiler Room Berlin and Amsterdam’s Appelsap Festival. In a career defining moment, Grammy Award winning artist Drake sampled Crazy Cousinz’ 2008 remix of Kyla’s ‘Do You Mind’ in his ‘One Dance’ smash hit in 2016. The track broke a world record by maintaining the Number 1 position for 15 weeks, which was the first release to ever achieve such placing in the digital era. Crazy Cousinz has also worked with some of the industry’s most respected artists over the years, including MNEK, Katy B, Donaeo, Tinie Tempah, Kyla and ILLBLU. Putting his remix spin on works from hitmakers such as Ed Sheeran & Becky Hill, Weiss, Craig David, Raye, Not3 and Zac Samuel, Crazy Cousinz has further demonstrated his broad musical abilities and impeccable grasp of all genres. Crazy Cousinz accolades are forever growing and with his latest offering ‘Amnesia’ Ft. Alex Mills, Luke reconnects with his dance music roots after a spell of afrobeats production.
