- Born from a frustration and dissatisfaction of the genre trap that the media has made EDM. Cross Groove writes, remixes and releases, Deep, Dark, Jackin' and Disco influenced House Music.James Vickers AKA Cross Groove started to become involved in House Music back in the late 1990's when the likes of Alister Whitehead, Jeremy Healey and LuvDUP were destroying common boundaries with the influential and ground breaking mix tapes, club nights and productions. "Music when I was younger was much different to now, more light hearted and less serious, it seemed to define generations with out wanting too and with out the need too. Watching and listening to music inspired me every day. I started playing old funk records on really cheap and nasty turntables in my bedroom until I moved away from home and could afford to upgrade my set up a bit more, by the mid 2005 I had the most random collection of vinyl of any of the DJ's I knew and still do" James now spends his life running two labels Modifi Grooves and Modifi Music and had released along side some top flight artists gaining support from artists like Giom, Huxley, Soul Minority, Mawree, Funkagenda, Inland Knights and loads more.
