Making music has to be done as a complete form, not only one genre, one style or with only one way of making it. This is the foundation on which Dado Prisco has launched his musical career. Being from the island of Florianópolis, Brasil, where the summer months feel as though as Ibiza has found a holiday home, with clubs like P12, PACHA and WARUNG hosting the biggest DJs the world has to offer, so it’s understandable that Dado knew from a young age his future would be focused around music. Realising that he couldn’t achieve his dreams without making sacrifices and doing things in his own way. At 19, Dado moved to London to study sound engineering at the illustrious Point Blank Music School. Living and breathing the underground deep house scene that is so vibrant across the capital and opening up a new experience and understanding. Away from the beach parties, the carnival atmospheres, Dado could witness the darker side of music, the 6am warehouse raves that London has to offer. Once back in Floripa, Dado took the next step which has proved to be the turning point in his career, launching Dado Prisco Studios. Spending the last six months of 2013 in the studio gave Dado the catalogue of tracks he needed to introduce his music to the world. Early support came from the LouLou Records family with both Kolombo and LouLou Players releasing tracks on their compilations. This was followed by a debut EP release on German label, Kiez Beats, which included a remix from Russian producers, Andrey Exx & Hot Hotels. The EP gained great support from Anime Edge, Purple Disco Machine, The Beatangers, Vanilla Ace, Dayne S and Animal Trainer. In the summer of 2014 Dado Prisco, alongside his friend Bruno Be, remixed Sharam Jey’s track ‘Like Nobody Does’ which was released on Bunny Tiger and reached #26 on Beatport´s Indie Dance / Nu Disco chart. Late 2014 saw Dado complete his first European tour with a performance at ADE before headline shows in both Glasgow and London. Shortly after he also featured on Kiss FM for a guest mix on their Mix Block series. During this time his ‘I Bet You Wonder’ Marvin Gaye edit gained support from Grades, and MYNC on his global Cr2 radio show. Having spent the end of the year in the studio, Dado has a string of releases and EPs lined up for release in early 2015 on Noise Music, Kiez Beats, SOTU, Bunny Tiger and Sleazy Deep. So far these tracks have been gaining support from Elekfantz, Antonio Eudi, Eddie M, Jamie Antonelli, Rob Made, Doug English, DJ Pioneer, and Teenage Mutants.
