- Alessio Li Volsi (Dissonance) is an Anglo-Italian Producer/DJ. He relocated to greater Manchester as a child and was exposed to strong musical influences from an early age. Despite this the vocation to create and perform music came relatively late, ‘th..The music of Dissonance is a unique fusion of several genres including UK Warehouse & Berlin Techno, Detroit/Chicago House, Grime & Garage. His recent productions are a voyage of exploration of various tempo ranges, and analogue and digital equipment. The intention is to create a trademark sound outside the limitations of genre and geographical location. Five years of studying music production, at College and University level, in conjunction with working in a local studio have given Dissonance his technical competence. He attributes his early success as a DJ to his teacher, Drum and Bass legend Mark XTC. Alessio will graduate in 2014 with a Music Specialist BA (Hons) degree. He moved to London last year to further his musical development and embrace new opportunities.
