Just as his native roots represent the crossroad between East and West, Bulgarian-Serbian Dj/Producer, Zhivorad Milich aka Dj Lion is the junction between modern and classic, minimal and commercial house elements that cannot be constrained to one genre. Dj Lion has the ability to effortlessly combine funky, electro, progressive, minimal, tech, tribal, deep, vocal and break-beat house into a mesmerizing storyline. With over 50 original productions under his belt, Dj Lion consistently tops the charts on Beatport with tracks such as ‘Dreamfields’ supported by Tiesto and ‘Haters’ – his co-production with fellow-Bulgarian Stan Kolev soon to be released on the legendary Nervous Records for Oscar G’s Space Marathon compilation. Dj Lion’s remix of C-Pure ‘Cat On The Rain’ was chosen for Beatport Burners Episode 44. Dj Lion’s music knows no boundaries – his track ‘SEEME’ reached the top 10 on the Japanese powerhouse WestBeat and his track ‘Should Be Free’ was released on Argentina’s top label Sick Watona for Ricky Ryan’s Discomaniacs 1. In 2003 Dj Lion’s collaboration with Fullbite Session and Svetla Ivanova titled ‘Mr. Dj’ was featured and charted on MTV’s world chart express. Recognition for his exceptional talent culminated in an invitation to mix a special compilation for the biggest Bulgarian telecommunications company Globul with over 4 million subscribers named B-Connect Beat, for which he was also a brand face in the video Rhythm 35. Dj Lion has also been asked to do mixes for several top internet radios including Paul Van Dyk’s Vonyc Sessions, Frisky Radio, Proton and Dj Vibes. Over the past 12 years, Dj Lion has played alongside the best house music talent in the world including - Timo Maas, Benny Benassi, Satoshi Tomiie, Leftfield, Marshall Jefferson, Chab, Michael De Hey, Jon Silva, Coco Silco, Flash Brothers, John Creamer, Stephan K, Behrouz, Audiojack, Stan Kolev, Lee Kalt, Ivano Bellini, Scumfrog, Dave Angel, Ahmet Sendil, James Lauer, Marko Nastic, Paranoid Jack, and Super Discount. In his travels Dj Lion has played throughout Europe from Italy to Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Russia, Macedonia , Bosnia and Herzegovina at top clubs including, Chervilo, Escape, PR, Mania, Comics, Masai, Plazma, Scena, Bassment, , Sound, Cielo, Cacao Beach, and Lifka. Dj Lion has been a headlining artist for various events including the biggest summer festival in Europe the Exit Music Festival in Novi Sad, Bokeska Noc in Montenegro, Fashion Week Belgrade, Jeggermeister, Camel Winter Tour, promotional parties for Tuborg, Loud and Clear, and SEEME Festival in Sofia. He is also the dj of choice for high-end events such as the official Fashion TV parties at Andergraund and Yalta as well as the Splashlight Studios Miami premiere during WMC 2008.
