- Ed Jones aka Yellowcake's genre spanning dj’ing career began over 12 years ago in the deep dark West of England......Ed Jones aka Yellowcake's genre spanning dj’ing career began over 13 years ago in deep dark west of England. Starting off with a keen interest in all things D&B in the late nineties, he then continued his journey through into Breaks setting up camp in Bristol up until the mid naughties. Feeling a change of scene he moved to London, eventually linking up with Natalie Coleman one Sunday morning in an eastend afterparty, their ideas and similar vision developed into actions and Mooch was born. It has become a platform to push underground up and coming artists with a sound leftfield of mainstream Techno into the public domain. Mooch's sound marked a definitive change of direction from a diet of broken beats and bass in the west into a new love of anything 4/4. Ed's resident sets at Mooch, have only served to enhance his reputation for laying down sets that keep the punters on their toes with an eclectic, groove orientated and sometimes edgy brand of House & Techno all crafted from a broad musical history.
