- Italian born DJ and Producer based in Seattle, USAElio Sottoscritti is feverish about electronic music, for him it's much like the rush of discovering gold. The difference is, where others would squander such riches, he's driven to share every ounce of it he finds as an artist and DJ under his moniker Eliogold. Early on he would learn to treasure audio, growing up in the household of a sound engineer father. Being from Florence, Elio would pick up on the traditions of central Italy’s house and techno from exposure to big name clubs and parties like Cocorico', Fortezza da Basso, and Jaiss before taking to the turntables himself around 2003. He cites Tenax back home in Florence as his main stomping ground these days and he's developed close ties with its successful residents Philipp and Cole. Balancing his travel experiences chasing this music throughout the world with equal amounts of discovery in the studio, Eliogold has been toiling away at finding the right sounds through which to express himself as an artist producer for years, finally hitting his stride in 2012 and releasing on UK based label Axon Recordings. Elio left his mark in the deserts of Arizona, working hard as a party organizer and leading artist, under the banner of the Dazed & Confused crew, starting in 2015. There, he hosted and played at events alongside international guests such as Supernova, Hector Romero, My Favorite Robot, Project Pablo, Mor Elian and more. Because of his multifaceted style, ranging from house, techno, progressive, breaks, and anything in between, he’s had the opportunity to play at some of the most respected underground parties in the west coast such as Frenzy at Avalon in LA, Techno Taco Tuesday in Vegas, and more. Today he is in Seattle where he relaunched his party brand under the name Dazed and is still hosting parties and performing at local underground clubs such as The Monkey Loft, Kremwerk, Q Nightclub, etc. After a seven years hiatus, he's back on making music, and his EP "Revenge of the Muppet" on Threerecordsuk reached #1 in the Beatport top100 global new releases and Indie Dance charts in early 2022. His passion for sound and language has brought him to terms with one of music’s universal truths. "Being a language instructor taught me that there is only one language that needs no translation and that’s music. There is nothing more inspiring than that and that’s what keeps me going."
