- Norwegian DJ. Started to spin records in 2009. Her style is mainly Minimal, Tech House and Techno. She is in the roster of Small Records, and label owner and artist at Romklang Records.Faia (Femmes Fatales / Romklang Records / Small Records. NO) Ever since she started spinning records in 2009, she's been a sought-after DJ and club promoter. Faia has played at most of the clubs, venues and raves in Oslo and all around Norway, as well as Oslo’s biggest open air electronic music festival Sommerøya and other festivals such as Trollfestival in Trollstigen, Sehr Schøn, Grooveyard and Hjertøyafestivalen. Faia has performed at 'Musikkfest Oslo' for several years in a row on various electronic venues. Oslo clubs: The Villa, Jaeger, Elefant, Fugazi, Fisk og Vilt, Blå, Sikamikanico, Skansen, Gudruns, Skippergata, Storgata 26 and Hausmania. Primal Behaviour, Electric Fusion, Einzeit, Funky Fiction and Wicked Wonderland are some of the bigger events she's played at who really made an impression on Faia's experience with the techno and psy underground scene in Oslo. In other cities she’s played at Klubb Kosmo (Bergen), Brukbar/Blæst, Nattergalen, Northern Impact, Electronic People/Rockheim Panorama (Trondheim), Havnekontoret (Kristiansund), Töffe Toner/Cementen (Stavanger) amongst others. Faia is regularly booked to techno and house clubs around Europe. Copenhagen's famous clubs Culture Box and Ved Siden Af, Club VOID in Plovdiv Bulgaria, and Burning Man Week Stockholm. In England she’s played at The Deaf Institute in Manchester, and Club Nomad in London. In 2015 she had her first Berlin gig in the main room at one of the coolest underground clubs; Rummels Bucht. She’s also performed at Golden Gate and Bohnengold in Berlin, Technodisco in Wetzlar, and Stroga Festival 2018. In October 2019 she played at a big cave rave at Sandsteinhöhlen in Halberstadt Germany. She's even been to the eastern paradise Thailand where she has spread wonderful beats in warm clubs and festivals, Jai Thep Festival 2019 and other events in Chiang Mai, Pai and Koh Phangan. In Oslo she's booked both Norwegian and international female DJs since 2010 to her 'Femmes Fatales' events. She wanted to do something about the gender imbalance in the club environment, and landed a 5 year residency at the techno-basement The Villa with the concept. The bi-monthly concept was moved to club Elefant in 2017 and had a monthly residency between 2017-18 together with her partner MØRK. At Elefant she’s also co-promoted the 'Deep Fridays' events together with Small Records and Thomas Skjærstad. With the Norwegian label Small Records she's been in charge of Small Records SmallCast mix series since 2019, and has been a label DJ for years. With her great passion for house and techno she’s done podcasts for several radio stations, for Kentaur Podcast, Pils & Plater, Porno Poltercast, Lounge Squatt podcast series, Draw The Line Radio Show, Ballroom Radio, Elektrotribe, Vision 3 Podcast, Deepicnic, Occultech Radio, Volume Podcast, Klimacast and The Poeticast. In 2018 Faia got into producing as well, and started a collaboration with the Norwegian producer Duppeditt. They started the label Romklang Records and are now releasing their music. Romklang will focus on releasing music from Scandinavian artists within the experimental dark minimal techno genre. In January 2021 they got signed by the Belgian label PointZer0 Rec with the track 'I'm Lost' on 'The Explorer I V.A." alongside Egomorph, Occer, Krypta, Synister (IN), Thomas Klipps, Aphe and Geometek to name a few. Faia has been booked to events or shared decks with many well-known DJs and producers such as; Oxia, Martin Dawson, Nic Fancuilli, Pig&Dan, Ida Engberg, Per Hammar, Lottie, Djuma Soundsystem, Matthias Meyer, Gavin Herlihy, Solomun, Attaboy, Esther Duijn, Uone Jack, Phaxe, Nastia, BeSvendsen, Guy J, Kruse and Nuernberg, DJ Hell, Turmspringer, Miss Sunshine/Insolate, Beddermann & Dahlmann, Luigi Rocca, Ben Klock, Recondite, Gabriel Ananda, Thomas Schumacher and Moog Conspiracy. Faia love being behind the decks, and that also reflects the drive, energy and playfulness in her choice of music. Her favorite genres are deep tech, minimal, minimal techno, tech house, techno, psy techno, dub, acid, dark and hard techno, but can also play downtempo chill out and deep house sets for more easy listening.
