Even if this person, like Felix Neumann, has already achieved considerably more than commendable results in his budding DJ career. We will also ignore the almost obvious phrases such as, "small but tough" or "the early bird catches the worm" and keep to the facts. And lo and behold, the as yet brief biography of the mono nestling is nevertheless quite impressive: Barely two years after purchasing his first turntables and just after turning 18, Felix Neumann was able to prove himself in 2008 at the mono premiere as the support act for Nekes. Although he mastered his role as the warm up act perfectly and was careful not to upstage anyone, the Heidelberg native became the real sensation of the evening: With his fresh and dynamic sound he expertly turned the place on its head. The youngster moved between House and Techno like a pro and in groovy, impulsive, and innovative way. At the end of the night, he was sure of being a mono resident, and the cornerstone for his DJ career was laid. Since then, he has played numerous parties in his home base, the Heidelberg-based Klub_K, in the Loft Club in Ludwigshafen, in the Mannheim-based Zimmer, and also in several other locations in the Rhine Neckar and Rhine Main Region. At the same time, has made a name for himself as a producer and remixer with a keen sense for smooth sound: After remarkable releases such as on Mitu Recordings and Brise Records, one of the most successful addresses of recent times, he is responsible for the debut of mono as a label, a task which is both an honor and a challenge: His "Royal EP" with the tracks "Enjoi", "Lakai", "Chocolate", and "Girl" has the catalogue number mno #001 and appeared on January 27, 2011. Prominent colleagues such as Ricardo Villalobos, André Galuzzi, Sis, Nick Curly, Butch, and Martinez back Neumann's sound. This makes the young producer particularly proud because a few of these DJs were his inspiration and role model! It goes without saying that, as a result, the requests for DJ bookings are increasing. The next stage of a dream became a reality on April 2, 2011: With the appearance at Time Warp, Felix' quality received its highest recognition to date. This accolade in DJ circles gives the mono resident the possibility of proving himself in front of a large audience from around the world.
