This is life 24/7 for Frank, a broadcaster, DJ, producer, writer and lecturer. Now based in London – but frequently spotted shaking a foot in every corner of the groove-loving globe from India to the US, Iceland to China – Frank has a unique space in a crowded scene. He has an ear for a great idea and selects grooves like fine wine. He can also bring a live interview, panel or masterclass to life with knowledge, passion and his signature Frenglish smile. Whether you catch him on the airwaves, the dancefloor or anywhere in between, one thread runs the deepest; Frank loves telling stories. You can hear them in his radio shows, you can picture them through his documentaries on BBC World Service Radio and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM, and you can read them in his written work on respected publications and sites such as DJ Mag and Chase The Compass. Frank is a DJ who’ll never just stay in the hotel until minutes before his gig then fly home the morning after, he immerses himself in the local culture as long as he can; collaborating, recording, dancing, and, most of all, enjoying each community’s unique scene. Naturally you can feel his stories in his DJ sets, too. They weave groove-infused house to jackin’ disco, bubbly afrobeat and energetic funk, constantly upping the positivity factor into overdrive. They’ve taken Frank around the world, they’ve led him to play alongside peers such as Angello Ferreri, Illyus & Barrientos, Yuksek, Robosonic, Mighty Mouse and more. They’ve also led to a new line in Frank's own story: music production. His first release landed in early 2019 by way of a Traxsource Top 3 collaboration with coffee-loving Italian producer Birdee on Partyfine. 2020 saw their next collab pressed on vinyl.
