- George Apergis aka EMEX owner of Modular Expansion, is one of the pioneers of Greek Dance Scene He performed at Berghain, Tresor, Suicide, Sisyphos, in Berlin, also in cities like London, Rome, Barcelona, Sofia, Warsaw, Moscow, Tel Aviv and Athens.George Apergis aka EMEX is one of the pioneers of Hellenic Electronic Dance Scene and he is the owner of Modular Expansion who has to its credit actions with the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Athens. Actions such as vinyl releases, art videos and publishing events. He is also a European Design Award holder in the category Music & Films Covers. George Apergis is as an established artist, label manager and event organizer, with a career for years in Athens and Berlin. George Apergis plays dj sets only with vinyls and have performances in a lot of European cities and famous places like Berghain, Tresor, Suicide, Sisyphos, the legendary Clubs in Berlin, also in cities like London, Rome, Barcelona, Sofia, Warsaw, Moscow, Tel Aviv and at the most prestigious places in Athens. His George Apergis releases “Quelle”, “Ekhowax”, “Waxtrax” and “Retrograde” on Modular Expansion were highly successful. At the same time, he released on labels such as Bellboy, unGleich, Omega Audio, Audio Therapy, Sabotage, Paranoid Dancer, In fact and on Made of Concrete along-side his close friend Alexander Kowalski. In 2014 he created EMEX project, already having many releases on labels such as Modular Expansion, Etruria Beat, Credo, Denude, SYXT and Konsequent. In 2015 he released "00110001" with the support of KORG, which won the Silver Award at the European Design Awards. At the same time he has two releases to his credit "Hyperion" and "Cluster of Time" with Berlin best friends studio416.In 2022, “Hi'iaka” was released alongside a video clip representing the Athenian Underground scene, sponsored by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. His music has been remixed by artists like Truncate, Zadig, Johannes Volk, NX1, Lee Holman, Brian Sanhaji, Subjected, Radial, Alexander Kowalski, SLV, Progression, Birth of Frequency and Developer. His music has been supported by world-class artists such as Chris Liebing, Marcel Dettmann, Luke Slater, Tommy Four Seven, DVS1, Rødhåd, Nina Kraviz, Ellen Allien, Jonas Kopp, Bas Mooy, Ilario Alicante, Slam, Dax J, SNTS to name but a few.
