The name, German for “walking in lockstep”, symbolizes the two friends’ joint journey as they explore the world of music. The two DJs have developed their interest for electronic music a long time ago, and are dedicated to sharing their love and passion for music with their dancefloor audiences. But the GLEICHSCHRITT experience does not stop just there: thanks to an open mind and keen interest in various styles, GLEICHSCHRITT turns each gig into a unique and smooth musical treat. GLEICHSCHRITT started out playing in small pubs in and around Zurich, and quickly moved on to playing in well-known Zurich clubs such as Hive (Resident), Q Club, Kaufleuten, Supermarket, Alte Börse, Mascotte and the former Dachkantine, as well as other clubs throughout Switzerland. They also appeared at several underground parties and international locations including Ibiza and Barcelona (Spain), Munich (Germany) and Hurghada (Egypt). In 2006, GLEICHSCHRITT won the “Best Newcomer DJ of the Year 2006” award at the annual Swiss Electronic Music Awards (SEMA). By now, GLEICHSCHRITT has joined two separate labels that give them the opportunity to explore and refine their skills. GLEICHSCHRITT feels at perfect ease with both the Grundton label, a specialist for connoisseurs, and ESANCE, a label that specializes in spicy and innovative grooves. And all this is just the beginning – the two DJs have a lot up their sleeves, including plans for productions. Stay tuned!
