- Since 1996 play music switching across genres as a live performer and Dj.GROOVE SQUARED (ita) Trapez Ltd / Engrave Ltd / Gravity Groove / Addicted Music Rec before: Abbuz Supreme / Coffy label / Evolution music europe / Kutmusic Italhouse An inspirational bass waving and flowing in Groove Squared makes it what it was originally designed for, an electronic live band. It comes back with a brand new apperance, a fashionable modern dancefloor sound, after years spent in clubs raving the scene. Groove Squared history is peculiar, specific and moisturizing, like a pattern of old movies in which music, emotion and images are beautifully fused into a complex texture. Looking deeply into his dj’s career we can find a fizzy taste of FUNK, NUJAZZ, HOUSE, EXPERIMENTAL ELECTRONIC with sparks of AMBIENT, ROCK and POP. The real deal with Groove Squared is GROOVE and BEAT which is the core bone of the idea that inspired his project His musical production has begun in solitude back in his first album, then some featuring with some great artist for his second and third album, and then back again riding the waves of the scene alone for his fourth and last album. GROOVE SQUARED featured in some spectacular party, mentioning artists like: TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB (kitsune ‘), TEN WALLS (Innervisions / Life and Death) ETIENNE DE CRECY, DARREN PRICE (Underworld),TIGER STRIPES, Jack Savidge (Friendly Fires), KONSTANTIN Sibold (Innervisions), JENNIFER CARDINI (Kompakt) PHIL WEEKS (Robsoul), MARKUS FIX (Cocoon), &ME (Keinemusik), PETER HOOK (Joy Division), BURNSKI (Poker-flat), Few Nolder (Boso), Ian Pooley (Innervisions), LOUISAHHH (Bromance), WEVAL (Kompakt) Production wise 2014 he was at his best with the release of his 4th album, named AARON - (coffylabel / Abbuz Supreme). This album was very well reviewed on the big national music magazine. During this time he made his first appearance at TRESOR BERLIN and hosts in two international festivals: ISF 2014 and LOTTAROX SUMMER 2014 The list carry on with some top names as we can mention: Chemistry - an EP on Engrave Ltd, remixed by Musumeci (Connaisseur Recordings). Ogopogo rec remixed by Franz Alice Stern (Get Physical) and Steve Hope (Kitball rec). Remix on Addicted (London) Greenwood Festival, 20hz Festival, WeekEnd (Berlin) , WOO an More. In 2017 ''The Ground'' (on Gravity Groove records) made its way up to the top 10 electronic and the top 20 deep house just in one week. This last contains remix by Darren Price (from Legendary band Underworld) and Sam Pauli (Chapter 24 records) In 2016, the single '' The rounder '' was released by Trapez Ltd, and again Groove Squared smashed the Beatport chart (Teak House top 100). From 1996 to 2002 he was resident DJ at UNDERGROUND CITY in the center of Italy, along with the most famous DJs in the world. In June 1997 he took part in SONAR in Barcelona with a DJset in SONAR CLUB. From 2003 to 2005 he was resident DJ of the event "High Foundation Festival" The record production was a continous challenge, so between 1998 and 2002 he made two albums for Kutmusic records: The first, "Inside a bag," gave him a place in the underground scene. The second album "Any doubt funk" get recognized nationally and internationally. In the USA it enters the top ten sales online on the website www.e-music.com, appearing following great names like Groove Armada and Roni Size. In Italy, the magazine Acid Jazz chooses a track ("An Evan's thing") for the compilation , appearing between artists like Master at work, DJ Cam, Da Lata and Robert Owens. In the same year, 2001, G.S. was invited to the first edition of the MEI and once again one of his tracks, ("Xilum on the moon", judged by critics as brilliant and visionary), is selected for the compilation dedicated. In 2005, his recording project is called "Groove Squared" with the release of a new album for the Evolution Music Europe. The musical production becomes more deep and sensitive with the introduction of real instruments and cooperation with musicians such as Paul Achenza (Schema Records), Gaetano Partipilo (Universal) and Stefania Dipierro (Scheme records). Thanks to the excellent reviews of critics (Noise magazine, the Heap, Muz, Music jazz, Acid jazz), this album goes on air in different countries, in many foreign radio in France, Spain, Belgium, the UK and USA. The proof of its success made the album released in France for Nocturne. During this period of time supported by DJ Massimiliano Troiani (Radio Deejay) participates in the program "Stardust in Love" aired on Friday on M2O network. As result of this cooperation in October 2006 the first single 12 "(Bicentennial Mood) celebrates a devotion to Gil Scott-Heron.
