Groove Syndicate are well-known outlaws, robbers, and criminals that traveled the Central United States during the Great Depression. Their exploits captured the attention of the American public during the "public enemy era" between 1931 and 1934. Though known today for their dozen-or-so bank robberies, they in fact preferred to rob small music shops and steal samples from other people’s records. The duo is believed to have killed at least nine police officers and committed several civilian murders as well as steal sweets from those picknmix counters of the cinema. Bored of the outlawed life as notorious, rich, cool antiheroes which had girls dropping at their feet in every town that the couple visited and soon later robbed, the pair presently decided to move as far away from this existence as possible and so travelled to the other end of the spectrum which contains none of those colourful spoils of life and have instead upon a career within underground house and techno music. These former criminals are not DJ’s but a live act that utilise various pieces of equipment to play self-produced tracks within a live environment. They are currently touring and taking bookings as well as releasing records on numerous labels and running their very own Groove Syndicate Records.
