- Harvey Dawson aka Trisco & WonderlandAvenue has been involved in the House scene from 1990 as a record producer and DJ. His Dj sets and cutting edge Tech house/Progressive productions are known Worldwide and he has been touring constantly over the last..Early days After moving to London in the mid 90‘s Harvey started to produce under the Spanish Fly name and signed his first two releases “Sustain” & “Hipster” to Whoop Records in 1994, both tracks had an immediate impact on the Progressive House scene. At this time Harvey was resident at “Rude” SW1 Club (now Pacha London) and began to develop a unique DJ style with a familiar no-nonsense approach to giving clubbers what they want. This sound also found it’s way into other residencies at the Ministry of Sound and a two year residency at his own club night “Wonderland Avenue” at Plastic People right in the heart of London, on Oxford Street 1995-‘97. Trisco Having been fairly quiet on the production front, Harvey hooked up one night with a friend who worked in back catalogue at EMI records and over a pint or two came up with an idea for a new track. Heavily influenced by Sparks and Giorgio Moroder “Musak” was spawned and became one of the biggest tracks of 2000. Released on Vinyl Addiction Records and produced under his new name Trisco, Musak soon became touted as the biggest underground track of year, described as “ground breaking” in the music press, Musak became common place in Dj’s boxes across the board: from Sasha & Digweed to the Chemical Brothers, Seb Fontaine & Pete Tong. The track had a massive amount of airplay and soon became Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune (05/05/2001.) By then Musak had been picked up by Positiva Records and reached # 27 in the UK Top 40 Chart and had truly become one of the great cross over records of it’s time, a top remix by Steve Lawler was to find it’s way onto the soundtrack of the much celebrated “It’s All Gone Pete Tong” movie in 2005. Trisco became highly sought after as a remixer and spent almost two years of Dj’ing everywhere & remixing the likes of Kylie Minogue & the Chemical Brothers amongst a whole legion of other artists. So it wasn’t until September 2003 that Trisco released the second single “Ultra” which became an instant hit, flying high in the Club charts and was hugely popular amongst the big name Dj’s, so much so that it was used on the U.K’S Radio 1 summer t.v. ‘ad campaign with Seb Fontaine behind the decks. Wonderland Avenue From here on Harvey continued to produce under the Trisco name with solid club tracks like double a sided “Lean of Hip/Time” (14/07/2003) & “All About You” in early 2005. During this time Harvey also produced under the Wonderland Avenue alias with a big double A sided release “Journeyman/Primo Deluxo” which became DMC mag’s record of the week and #2 Buzz Chart in 08/07/2003. In 2006 whilst on the beach in Ibiza after playing a mammoth set at Amnesia, Harvey heard a track which he’d heard before but never under the influence of so much Rose etc….it was Laid Back’s seminal “Whitehorse.” As soon as he returned home, Harvey went straight into the studio to recreate this classic and it proved out to be an excellent idea. Under the Wonderland Avenue name “Whitehorse” became an immediate smash Worldwide and soon became Pete Tong’s Essential new tune 30/09/2005. Since then Harvey has been flat out Dj’ing all over the World as well as releasing the follow up single “As Good As it Gets” which has been played everywhere he’s also managed to release the latest Trisco track “Podium” which has done some serious compilation damage.
