- Hesk is a Footwork DJ and producer from the Netherlands, currently based out of Toronto, playing a key role in the diffusion of Footwork and Juke in Canada since 2010.Hesk's production is known for featuring Soul and RnB elements within the Footwork style, often focusing on lush chords, and smooth vocals. His music has been released on Loose Squares Records, Nervous Records’ Strapped sub-label, Philthtrax, Low Keys Recs, Juke Bounce Werk, and several independent labels, and includes collaborations with Teklife's DJ Earl, Boylan (Chi), Sirr TMO, DJ PayPal, Brick Bandits' Nadus, and more. Hesk's music has been featured on BBC Radio1Xtra, XLR8R, Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA), Complex, Rinse FM, Vice (Thump), and more. He has also played global stages in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the US, playing alongside renowned artists such as DJ Deeon, Traxman, MikeQ, Jets (Machine Drum and Jimmy Edgar), Kush Jones, Rustie, and more. He's currently hosting "Shadowban Radio" on ISO.FM, a Footwork-centric radio show, featuring internationally acclaimed artists such as DJ Manny, Sinistarr, Big Dope P, and more.
