  • Jimmy Roland is based in Los Angeles, CA USA. He began his career as a demo session singer, moving on to R&B/Pop to Electronic/Dance/House. He writes his own lyrics and melodies, performer, actor and soon-to-be- literary author. On June 25, 2013, The H..
As the owner & CEO of his two companies JyRo Entertainment & Jackie's Music Publishing, artist and entrepreneur Jimmy Roland has enough on his agenda to keep him busy. As he looks ahead from January 1, 2014 at his companies visions: "Providing quality music and sounds, to music supervisors and businesses; and to provide dynamic ‘live’ performances of new material to fans around the globe that will inspire, motivate and uplift", Mr. Roland intends to do just that. Roland is a strong willed, persistent and determined individual who has been knocked down many times in life however, not unlike a kids clown Bop-bag, he gets right back up and continues where is left off. It’s as if he refuses to be defeated. There are a few mentors in life and several of whom he’s never met. The advice he taken from them has not steered him wrong. The beginning of 2013 changed the way he thought of the number thirteen, as it was a very lucky number for him. With Roland and his attorney issuing several licenses to the government of Jamaica for the limited use of his self-penned composition ‘My Jamaica’ to another of Roland’s compositions ‘Partners For Life’. Partners being listed in the June 25 ‘13 edition of the New York Huffington Post publication’s Top 34 Pride Anthems of 2013 rid Jimmy’s mind of seeing the number thirteen as an unlucky number. It was January 13, 2012 that Roland met is idol in person, living legend Dionne Warwick. It’s been a long but fun journey for Jimmy Roland who began his professional music career as a Los Angeles demo singer. He later signed with several independent labels and released several tracks that got him some attention. In 2007, a producer in France did a remake of Jimmy’s ‘My Jamaica’ track, which did quite well in clubs. Jimmy followed this up with a track called ‘Guaranteed’ with the same producer, experiencing a two-week #1 placement on a Sirius Satellite Radio channel. In 2009, Jimmy Roland met Italian based producer Dr. Kmer. With pen in hand, Roland began to write about experiencing family resentment and how some members of society are rejected due to their sexual preference, looks or any number of other things. He gave the song the title, ‘Got To Be Real’. The song was received, went to the #1 spot on iDanceradio.fm, with the music video receiving heavy rotation on the MTV/LOGO network. In 2012, the acting bug hit Roland again and he decided to have another taste. He was cast on an episode of Byron Allen’s production of Justice For All with Cristina Perez. Roland played the character of a snooty New Orleans landlord name Lloyd Fontaine on the episode ‘Mardi Gras Mishap’. He is currently waiting for the next big opportunity to show the world what he has to offer in terms of acting. “There are still so many goals to reach and things I want to achieve”, says Jimmy Roland. I want to reach everyone with my gifts and that includes children. My goal is to reach them with some of my music inside their toys, video games and movies/shows etc. I will never stop performing however because that is a major part of whom I am. I have not only headlined at music events but have shared billing with folks I never dreamed of sharing anything with. So, look for me and join the party.
