An amazing rising star in the House Scene, Jamie Fisher has earnt his party stripes over the years to become one of the most talked about DJs of the moment. As a 10-year-old child listening to German techno, acid rave and Dutch trance the writing was pretty much on the wall for this massively successful DJ. On decks since the age of 13 and resident at a Doncaster warehouse club aged 17, Jamie’s talent and hard work was sailing him through the DJing ranks. But he had bigger plans… His own productions were signed at the mere age of 18 and he was playing alongside some of the biggest names around. After several releases, his own night “Jump” in Sheffield and countless gigs all over Yorkshire, Jamie spread his wings further, quickly conquering the North of England. Residencies followed at ‘Luvbug’ alongside Graeme Park and Alistair Whitehead, and the after party institution that is Glasshouse in Leeds as well as near domination of the cool northern cities entire thriving club scene. In 2006, and after even more musical experience and education working as a record buyer, Jamie set up his own record label ‘High Voltage Records’ and with his single ‘Just Be Good To Me’ became No.2 on DMC World Music Chart. Things were starting to go global… With the set up of his second record label, a more underground venture ‘Full Circuit Records’, a signing to Chicago record label ‘Movement Music’ and a top 10 Beatport track ‘Coming on Strong’, Jamie had firmly landed on the global music circuit with massive support and indisputable credibility. Guest mixes followed on radio shows such as Stephan M’s massive show, ‘Made in Miami’ and Riley and Durant’s slot on Galaxy FM further affirming his status and notability, and in 2008 Filthy Rich made him label manager of ‘Control Freq Records’ taking care of such artists as Filthy Rich, Micky Slim and Rob Tissera. 2008 has really seen Jamie’s career rapidly rise, he has released his first track with Ministry of Sound which hit the Beatport top 20, has secured a residency at Boyd’s night club in Gibraltar, and has completed a tour of Asia. With support from industry stalwarts such as Robbie Rivera and Swedish House mafia, his cool house grooves are slowly hitting every corner of the globe… The next year promises some amazing times for this incredible young DJ with the release of his first solo compilation for Ministry of Sound, an appearance of Radio One Greece, ongoing work on his sure fire smash debut album, various releases on his catalogue of record labels and a second tour of Asia. There really is no stopping this music master, and it definitely won’t be long before there isn’t a house fan that hasn’t become well acquainted with his speaker gold dust.
