Jan Hendez got interested early in music. He let down his guitar and drums from his childhood to use his laptop getting into and experimenting design and technics of electronic music. In 2008, after having been playlisted by the french electronic magazine “Tsugi”, he went on a real music journey where he improved and got mature as much as on a technical side than on a artistic approach. He collabored with several Europeans music labels (Multivitamins, Smallroom Music, Swap, Resopal Schallware) and set up his own music label “Unpleased Records” in 2011. This new project digs deeply his influences into roots of "House" music. He then released the “Seriously” EP, an open-minded record where several sound textures come in progressively, display and get out, slow down or mute, giving an unexpected and complex story telling. Thanks to his music label and the quality of his productions, Jan Hendez was strongly supported along the year 2011 by Loco Dice, Robert Dietz, Nic Fanciulli, Laurent Garnier, Todd Burns (from Resident Advisor) and many more who enjoyed his music. His career reached a new step when he was part of A-Nîmé Festival line up two years in a row beside prestigious artists such as Sascha Funke, Martin Buttrich, Matthew Dear and Radioslave. He provided massive DJ Sets all around his country, playing for Cocoon or Cécille parties. Unpleased Records got a monthly showcase three years in a row at “Antirouille” which is a Montpellier’s nightlife huge underground spot. During the summer of 2012, He had a residency at the bayside club “La Paillotte Bambou” under the artistic management of Claude Monnet. Jan Hendez got the chance to share the fame with Phil Weeks or Lovebirds. The crazy summer kept going on with amazing gigs at the “Electro d’Uzès” Festival, Villa Rouge or at the trendy parisian club the “Wanderlust”. 2012 was definitely a good year. He released a remix on “Baile Musik” for his friend Loquace who is now part of tINI & The Gang. The track ranked quickly as “Top 10 Must Hear Tech House Tracks” and was supported by Loco Dice, DJ Sneak, Marc Antona, Nima Gorji and many more. The year ended with a last release on his own label “About Your Princess” where Yakine (Circus Company), stunned by Jan Hendez’s high quality productions, did a Rework of the original track. Jan Hendez has finally released a killer EP in 2013 on Kina Music, the Re-UP’s music label, who he got the opportunity to play with at Antirouille the past year. This year will be a huge source of inspiration bringing up new releases and gigs. Some new stuff is already coming up in 2014, always finest House music, dark Dub and Deep Techno where listeners are smoothly invited to get into.
