The originating from Kassel, and was born on 01.07.1977 Dj 'Jay Brooks' first came at the age of five years by his father with electronic music and vinyl in contact. So fascinated by the "black gold" and shortly there after he bought his first LP, a Breakdance sampler and could therefore call the first album of his own. Had grown up in the 80s and inspired by listening to the radio every day, he drew everything to do with music formally into itself. Especially the "New Wave" and "Depeche Mode" have it done at this time (today) and he tried every record from the radio broadcasts were, he could get for his little pocket money, and had nachzukaufen so already by the beginning of the nineties a small collection 12inches together. When going on early in 1991, Eurodance wave spilled (Snap, Dr. Alban), he heard a new radio show (HR 3 Clubnight), "where the DJ's (Sven Väth; played Torsten Fenslau) three hours at a stretch of non-stop music without breaks between the pieces have "what intrigued him greatly. At the same time, he met two people with his hobby, skateboarding, know as "mixed" and had to explain the issue. Then he picked up his savings and bought his first set of mix and a lot of Techno + House panels. It was meticulously practiced mixing and continue the club night belongs to penetrate deeper into the matter. The first parties were visited to see that what he had so far only heard on the radio. The big key event was followed, but when he heard the two friends took with them to a party where you serve, and asked him if he felt like the first hour of play. From there his destiny was clear, namely to be a DJ. Now he took care of their own small appearances in order to improve his still shaky, "mixing" to. Then came the first attempts at private parties, the local youth center, etc. But also live in Kassel brought many inspirations, yet there was one (of Germany's most famous techno clubs boost East / Stammheim) reside there for many years. Everyone in the house and techno scene known DJ played there and he could always keep up to date on current trends and publications. He had also during this time some small club gigs (Kassel, Kitzingen, Hanover) as the root home but closed its doors, its whistle went motivation. Also, the burgeoning "minimal" techno trend was () he is duly on the nerves and he turned once in mid-2002 of DJ existence, and again went skateboarding. In mid-2004 he was given a CD with two BBC Essential Mix "broadcasts. The one with Adam Freeland and the other with the Plump DJ'S. Thus ironed on this energy charged music that was generally referred to as "nu skool breaks," he turned again to the plate to buy, joined his record player and literally sucked everything that had to do with the breaks and the British music scene in itself. After a short time, however, he had to realize that in Germany this direction unduly prolongs the shadows. Firstly, it may be that breaks be erroneously confused with drum & bass, secondly, that can be put Breaks DJ'S is difficult in some drawers. But that irritates him so much of it. His sets, however, consist not only from broken beats, but the phrase "breaks" for him means a style breaken by another "not to drown in a monotone monotony and so distinctly from the crowd of DJs stand. Thus, there are also all the influences in his sets again. Whether it's Chicago house, techno, rock, or electro, everything that pleases him beaten to a varied set. Mainly it rocks the dance floor and people have fun. Apparently not only because he likes that style, it happened again on national and international booking requests (Leipzig, Baden, Switzerland, Cracow, Poland, etc.) Recently, Jay Brooks begun under the alias "The Distorted Disco" his own Tracks.
