- Joaquin Arab Cohen Aka Joaquin Koen was born in Cordoba, Argentina on August 9, 1999. Since he was a kid he was interested in music, but specially in electronic music. Actually he is working very hard in the studio to achieve his dream.With the support of big artist such as Sidney Charles, Santé, Hector Moralez and more Joaquin Koen started his career at a young age. Inspired on the old school House music at the age of 16 he started making his first beats. Joaquin Koen’s music have a lot of influences but specially styles like Hip Hop, Funk, Soul and Jazz. You can see this influences in his sets too. He loves to play with the Chicago old school House music dirty drums in his productions, this plus experimenting with 70s, 80s and 90s samples and synths makes Joaquin Koen’s sound old but modern at the same time. “I love getting inspired by 80s and 90s House artist like Kerry Chandler, Frankie Knucles and Marshall Jefferson but my biggest inspiration comes from old school Hip Hop beats.
