- Promoter, Performer, Producer, Remixer, and DJFocusing on his passion for music since 1994, Originally from Toronto/ Edmonton and now Victoria Based A Producer and Dj John Glassey has found a production style that is catching the attention of dj heavyweights in the game such as Demi, Mark Knight, D Rameriez, Mastiksoul, Tony Thomas, Carlos Fransisco, Framewerk, and Pete Bones to name a few. Since his first EP release storming through the ranks,on Beatport John is hitting us again with original material and remixes That are so deep and fresh. With 22 years of mixing all across Canada and parts of Europe has enabled John to sculpt a truly stand alone style of deep tech house that is a pleasure to listen to over and over. Now signed on to over 25 respected labels in Brazil, Canada, Israel and the UK John is keeping focused on his sound looking to expand his global fan base and artistic skills as a music producer and Dj.. John Glassey has been on the forefront of music production since 2002, having gone from humble DJ beginnings to playing with legends such as: John Acquaviva, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Joeski, Nathan Barato, Carlo Lio, Fred Everything, Kevin Yost, Jonny White and Kenny Glasgow to name a few. John’s highly original style has led him to sign with elite labels such as: KMS, Moxi, SP Recordings and Filter, whilst enjoying massive support from the likes of: John Acquaviva, Kevin Yost, Mastiksoul, Tony Thomas, Hernan Catteneo, Tyler Stadius, Carlos Francisco, Demi, Dantiez and Damarii Saunderson, Hermanez, Nick Holder and Matt Darey Along the years, John Glassey has managed to put his signature on a staggering 200 projects, 8 of which ended up on Beatport’s ‘Top 100’ whilst another 4 climbed up in the ‘Top 10’. All this experience has helped his craft and ability to keep the dance floor in full swing no matter what size. John Glassey has moved crowds from hundreds to thousands and always finishes his sets with the crowd wanting more of his unique blend of deep tech house. Launching his imprint JG Records back in 2011 with 96 releases to date, John Glassey has shown his true passion for underground music having released over 70 artist worldwide bringing depth and movement to his Canadian underground label with artist like Demi, Vysotiski, Tibor Dragon, Jay Lambert, NVS, Parnell Paul, Audiometrics, Applied Science. In 2012 John decided to promote his own events with a group of friends and I/O Productions YEG and YYC were born launching with Audiofly and moving to other great artist like Sante, Bushwakka!, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins, Stacey Pullen, Kevin Yost, Joeski, Fred Everything, Teifswartz, Uner, Nathan Barato, Art Department, Dance Spirit, Onionz and Jay Tripwire to name a few. Being so active in the scene in Edmonton people often always wondered where John found the time to create his newest Live project Senseless Live with the likes of singer/songwriter KIM SYKES and lead guitarist RON DAZO, in just 2 short years the Trio have managed to build a fan base around the world with their unique style of live electronic music and have seen some chart success on beatport with their first album Intentions hitting the top 5. With artist lining up to have a chance to work with the group in remixing and collaborations like Christian Hornbostel, Tom Peters, Framewerk, Pete Bones, The Saunderson Brothers, Markus Sur, Dizharmonia, and David Grhana. Senseless Live have been featured in DJ MAG, DMC World and many other publications over the last 24 months with growing support internationally. Now living on the beautiful Island of Victoria BC John is keeping focused on his production for both Senseless Live and Himself and is excited to contribute to a very musical community on the Wets Coast thats full of passion and gifted energy and is eager to share his musical talents and experience where ever he can.
