- Born in Lisbon, Portugal, distinguished and recognized for his technical skills when it comes to DJing and a ´groove Addicted´ as a producer, completing 30 years of career, Johnny Pereira is undoubtedly one recognized name on the Portuguese Techno scene.With a groovy sound characterized by pounding kicks and driving basslines, an 'old school' influence is evident in his sets, yet he considers himself a very versatile and chameleon-like artist, with the ability to approach different registers and extremes within electronic music, versatility combined with a vast musical culture acquired throughout his career, resulting in sets full of energy and progression, A true “journey” to the dancefloor. There were many places where Johnny Pereira has performed, highlighting some such as: Ministry Of Sound (UK), Pacha (UK), Es Paradis (Ibz/Esp), McQueen (UK), Lenox (LUX), Silodom (GER), Vanity (LUX), Warehouse (PT), Room5 (PT), FIL (Expo/PT), Kings & Queens (PT), INfinity club (PT), LAV-Lisboa ao Vivo (PT), HK (PT), OpArt (PT), AJ23-Cais Da Matinha (PT), SkyBar ( Expo/PT), Tartaruga Beach Club (PT), The Box (PT), Império Romano (PT), Avenue (PT), Hardclub (PT), Kayene (PT), Oceans Club (PT), Infame (PT), Lagares (PT) among many others, performing nationally and internationally in countries such as England, Spain, Germany and Luxembourg where he is currently resident. Throughout his career, he shared booth with renowned internationals such as: Dj Rush, Umek, Gary Beck, Chus & Ceballos, Sam Paganini, Marco Bailey, Christian Varela, Jay Lumen, Spartaque, Fatima Hajji, Fernanda Martins, Juliana Yamasaki, Obi, Pet Duo, The Yellowheads, Oscar L, Dj Murphy, Frank Kvitta, Dj Pepo, Jesus Del Campo, Industrialyzer, Gaston Zani, Adriana Vega, Joanna Coelho, Buchecha, Oscar Escapa, Noelia Gutierrez and Portuguese artists like Carlos manaça, XL-Garcia, Du´Art , Zé Mig.L, A.Paul, Huma-Noyd, Frank Maurel, Dextro, Miss Sheila, among many others. As a producer, several unreleased tracks are part of his DJ experience, but he already has a series of original songs and some remixes available on various digital music platforms. To date, Johnny Pereira has already released releases on labels such as Naked Lunch, We(R)aw, BLOK, Marktek Recordings, Thatechno, Beats HD, among others.
