- In a short period of time this young dj and producer has become one of Spains most promidsing electronic music artists. His passion for music was awakened when at the age of 15 he accompanied a friend who was going to buy some music. That is when John..In a short period of time this young dj and producer has become one of Spains most promidsing electronic music artists. His passion for music was awakened when at the age of 15 he accompanied a friend who was going to buy some music. That is when John decided that electronic music would be his future and not much later John Shelvins music would fill millions of loud speakers around the world. The dj image and what it represents is what captivates John. He quickly becomes familiar with the techniques and tricks of the trade and soon acquires the necessary skills to demonstrate it in a club. After 3 years as resident dj at some of the most prestigious clubs in Madrid, such as Space of Sound, Cool, macumba or People, which he combines with other events in other venues in Barcelona, Miami or Ibiza, he takes on a new roll, that of producer. Not content with just playing at clubs he starts to compose his own music, it’s the next giant step and the opportunity to transmit what’s really in his head. Even though he is influenced by all types of music and artists from Erick Morillo to Daff Punk, and the likes of Danny Tenaglia or Laurent Gamier, his Spanish origins are reflected in the warm sound of his productions. From his last recordings, ‘Temptation’, ‘Just Like You Said’ and ‘Petit Comite’ none can be catalogued in a particular style and in these we can see the time that John has dedicated to experimenting, developing and improving his skill as a producer and in which he has worked with the likes of Dave Spoen......... and a long etc. After having recorded during these years with some of the most recognised labels such as Spinnin, Pink Star... John returns recording with labels such as the Dutch label “Armada”, owned by Armin Van Buuren. He has also been responsible for launching the first recording for the British based Botaira Records, one of the world’s most prestigious electronic music labels. At the same time working with the classic Nervous label where he has received great support from the likes of artists such as Roger Sanchez, Paul Oakenfold, Axwell, Sasha, Sander Kleinnenberg, Satoshi Tomiie, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke, Nick Warren... John Shelvin returns to transmit his contagious sets to the audience and drag them down to the depths of his exceptional sounds... Caution, highly inflammable!
