- A-Lex aka John Smorto is an Itlaian producer and dj living in Barclona.Originary from Italy, he started to play as rock and funk selector. In 2003 he moved to Barcelona, where he keeps on living. During this years he was djing around underground club in Barcelona, sharing the decks with artists like Davide Squillace, Touane, Stewart Walker, Massi DL, Reynold, Dave Tarrida, Chrstian Vogel and many more. Actually he is manager of 4Cornersmusic a network for promotion of electronic music who involves such labels as Minisketch, Titbit, Isgud, Wordless and Quartz. As a producer he released some tracks on Minisketch VIR the netlabel of Minisketch. He uses the nick John Smorto to express his dark and inner side while under the name of ALex he shows a bright latin groove appeal, his djset move across minimal, house and tech-house every time different and deeply atmospherical. Since April 2009 he is djresident and Art Director of the party PLAY at Boulevard club in Barcelona. Party who has hosted such artist as Dan Ghenacia, Pedro, Jose De Divina, Anthony Collins, Federico Molinari, Guillaume and the Coutu Dumonts, David K, Luca Bacchetti, Boris Werner, Audiofly.
