- Owner / A&R / Promoter / DJ at City Fly RecordsJONNA (City Fly / Mysterious Works/ Shadeleaf / Lumberjacks In Hell / BBE / Intimate Friends) Jonna is a DJ, Producer & one of the label owners of City Fly Records & new imprint Mysterious Works. His DJ sets are prominently House but take in influences from Disco, Techno, Hip-Hop, Funk, Jazz... basically any music with Soul. Jonna has played all over the world including residencies in Berlin. He’s a regular at festivals like Gottwood & Dimensions and has toured Asia three times. As a Producer, Jonna’s first artist EP dropped early 2016 on Thatmanmonkz ‘Shadeleaf Music’ & featured the incredibly talented Erik Rico on vocals with remixes by Atlanta’s Kai Alce. The EP achieved great success & SOLD OUT in the first month & was supported by heavyweight’s Recloose, Derrick Carter, , Paul Trouble Anderson, Ame, Jimpster & Osunlade to name a few. Collab Singles (with Samwell) ‘Henry Western’ featuring Lady Blacktronika followed on City Fly which was supported heavily by BBC 6 Music. Then following this ‘Alright’ on ‘Future Society’, a compilation curated by Seven Davis Jr on R2 Records and then the Luke Soloman edit of ‘Through The Night’ again on Shadeleaf Music. The future is also looking very bright with 2 EP’s forthcoming on Marcel Vogel’s ‘Intimate Friends’ label and also a track on his ‘The Sound of Lumberjacks In Hell’ on BBE. Jonna has also been one of the driving forces behind City Fly Records & helping it grow from being a small club night into a global record label ‘championing the best in house music' releasing music from the likes of DJ Nature, Byron The Aquarius, Fred P, Andres, Kez YM, Simbad, Lay-Far, Red Rack'em and Basic Soul Unit. The releases by Tim Toh & Kez YM both received DJ Mag’s highest rated ‘Money Shot’ house releases in separate print editions. City Fly is the only label to achieve this with 2 consecutive releases. After a hiatus in 2017, City Fly returned in 2018 with a superb EP from label co-owner & serious sample digger, The Last Trip To Gandahar. The release includes a remix from Byron The Aquarius.
