Throughout his childhood, Junior grew up listening to Salsa, Disco, Funk, Soul, Latin Jazz, Latin Boogaloo, Classic Rock, Motown, R & B, Reggae and Blues in the household. At the age of 13 he developed an exquisite taste plus appreciation for all type of genres including his interest in becoming a DJ. His inspiration and structure came from listening to Afrika Bambaataa, Kool Herc, Farley “Jackmaster” Funk and Ron Hardy mix tapes. These legendary DJs / Artists worked as a foundation in offering an edge to Junior’s sound and style. Having New York roots, being raised in Los Angeles gave him the opportunity to become more diverse with music, art and culture. By 1989 he was introduced to L.A.’s Underground Scene and was impressed by the positive vibes, energy and most important the music. Junior’s involvement to the development of L.A.’s Underground Scene came in the summer of 1991 as a DJ / Promoter. He's grateful to have worked with some of L.A.'s top promoters and also being a staple to the underground dance scene. With over 20 years experience as a DJ, he also adds Producing, Remixing and Editing to his list of accomplishments. On his own label Spanish Hustle, Junior’s unreleased promotional tracks and remixes are definitely ones to watch for as they fuel countless dance floors with impressive amounts of heat. He's performed at many clubs / venues throughout L.A., Hollywood, surrounding cities, various states including internationally. You can also catch him playing the Las Vegas Scene for various special events including guest spots at Caesars Palace, the Golden Nugget, the Artisan, the Erotic Heritage Museum, Downtown Cocktail Room (DCR), the Las Vegas Hilton and the Fremont Street Experience to name a few. Juniors played and shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music industry. His experience along with skill come into play by having the ability to read the crowd, knowing which tracks to play that’ll definitely get the floor packed plus the crowd moving to his beat. With his musical arsenal of dance floor heat including his versatile taste in music, you’re guaranteed not to find a dry shirt in the house.
