- It's a hot moment for Junior White DJ who's career is taking off as of late. His recent releases with legendary King of House, Tony Humphries are tearing up dancefloors worldwide. The two were even able to team up on a remix for the late great Frankie..A native of Naples Italy,dj/producer Junior White has more than two decades of experience mixing and djing. As a teenager he was hired at Boom Boom Record Shop in Naples where he fine-tuned his ear for underground dance music. He began djing under the tutelage of Dj Tony White, who became his mentor. Soon he was playing his own nights in the clubs of Naples and in 1992 he was resident in one of the biggest clubs in Southern Italy, the Metropolis. Around this time Junior White also took an interest in production and A&R. While still in Italy he worked as A&R/Import Buyer for Level One Distribution, the third largest distributer in Europe at that time. He also started collaborating with musicians in the studio on various projects including Fluide – “Vaccara’” (King Street Records). In 1999 he moved to New York City, USA and opened his own company "Music & Song Inc." Within 6 months he was collaborating with many US Labels including Strictly Rhythm, Atlantic Records and Nervous Records to name a few. Meanwhile he was Djing around town in various clubs such as: GBH, Cheetha, Dekk and Centro-Fly. In 2006, after a brief hiatus in Italy, Junior White returned to New York City where he met singer/songwriter Noelle Barbera. The two began collaborating on house music projects with the help of Gianni “Blackjack” Fontana of Explode Studios. Recent releases on SoulShine Recordings, Soundmen on Wax, Shines Records and Next Dimension Music are making DJ top ten lists and gaining worldwide support. In 2010, Junior initiated his Gospel Project, a collection of remixes of popular Gospel artists for the dance floor. Junior’s mission is to bring the word of God into the clubs of the world. “Music is praise,” says Junior, “and where there is music, there is God.” The Junior White DJ Gospel project is supported by Tony Humphries, Quentin Harris, DJ Spen, Louis Benedetti and many more. As of late, Junior is also in demand as a remixer turning out new mixes for Soundmen on Wax and Gotta Keep Faith Records. He recently toured the Carribean and Southern Italy and returns to New York having recently played at Nikki Beach, Le Souk and Zanzibar NYC. In 2011, Junior was resident Dj at a weekly party in NYC with the legendary Tony Humphries and as of late has been caught in action at New York City's exclusive Soho House.̸"Wonder Why" Tony Humphries and Junior White feat.
