- Current Barraca Music starlet Carmine Conte aka Karm has come a long way since his early days in Toronto...After moving with his family to Italy whilst still very young, Karm was introduced to a Piano at the age of just 9 and it was to be from here that he would start his musical journey. Despite studying law, never being seen away from a piano or guitar Karm’s destiny was always to be in one thing and this was his music. After visiting the magic island of Ibiza in 2001 Karm was introduced to the world famous DC10 and here he found his inspiration to play and produce house and techno music. Upon returning to his Milan home from Ibiza he soon found himself playing big club nights in venues such as Magazzini Generali, Amnesia and Space. After a few years of mastering his DJ skills he enrolled in an Audio Engineering course and a year later was fully immersed in producing music. Karms first release was on Isgud Records (Tania Vulcano’s label) with remix duty for his friend and fellow compatriot, Rene.
