- Born in 1981 Kristina Lalic moved to the city of Belgrade from Canada. Music has been her love and passion from an early age.Born in 1981 Kristina Lalic moved to the city of Belgrade from Canada. Music has been her love and passion from an early age. Growing up in a musical family surrounded by various genres of music, in the early 90’s Kristina fell in love with the electronic music scene and DJing. Beside her work on television as production manager, Kristina started working as a sound technician and music editor on a regional radio station. The idea for her own radio show was realized in September 2005 and she became an author and host of “Belgrade Clubbing”, a show presenting upcoming releases from various genres of electronic music, interviews and also providing information about club life in Belgrade. "Belgrade Clubbing" gained regional fame. She decided to do weekly mixes called “Essential Tracks of the Week" made after every show with supported tracks gaining international listeners. The show was successfully aired till September 2010, when Kristina decided to focus more on DJing and taking first steps in producing electronic music herself. Her active involvement in the electronic music scene started in 2009 in Belgrade, developing her DJ skills by playing regular DJ sets at local nightclubs around the city. Her first guest mixes were aired on Frisky and Proton radio, after that many more came. One of her first releases was in 2008 on Noobish Records. Choosing to work on original music mostly, remixes are few in between, choosing tracks on the basis of their sound selections and design. The dynamic of her musical influence showcase more underground feel, highlighting varying moods and ideas with which Kristina can create with. She released on labels such as Naked Lunch, Gain Records, Start Records…to name a few. This reflection of studio work and passion fueled sets showcasing her own style of techno accepted by her fans in the past few years has led her playing at established venues, parties and festivals alongside with talented and respected DJ’s such as Ambivalent, Shinedoe, Anja Schneider, Richie Hawtin, Luigi Madonna, Cristian Varela, Len Faki and many more. Kristina’s sets are energetic, with a unique style and technique combining Detroit, minimal and groovy techno. This raw, unadulterated Producer/DJ and passionate talent for music will not leave you standing still.
