[email protected] www.ghotiitout.comLes Limaces alias Benoit Carreau (Melodule), Alexandre Caron et Philippe Girard (Phil Fiction) Suivez le parcours gluant de trois limaces qui, à force de traîner sur les planchers de danse, ont fini par se rencontrer et faire chemin commun vers la scène. Benoit, aussi connu sous le nom de Melodule, est un musicien touche à tout. Avec Alex, un informaticien autodidacte, ils composent depuis le tout début les pièces originales/morceaux originaux et remix du groupe. Philippe est le DJ de l’équipe, performant sur scène en duo avec Ben, ils peuvent désormais compter sur plus de 5 heures de musique pour bien s’adapter aux différentes foules et les transporter subtilement dans l’univers des Limaces. Le trio compte déjà deux albums à leur actif. Parus sur Tasty Bytes Records, chaque album est une histoire unique qui s’écoute aussi bien en voiture que sur le dance-floor. Les Limaces ont aussi sorti une ribambelle de EP et de remixes sur des étiquettes internationales telles que Flow et ARVA Records. Leur morceaux sont joués de partout et on a récemment pu les entendre sur des podcast prestigieux dont ceux de John Digweed et Armin Van Buren. Les Limaces peuvent comptent désormais sur de solides performances qu’ils présentent autant en clubs que lors d’événements majeurs au Canada et à l’international. Ils ont d’ailleurs donné une série de concerts à Bogota en Colombie en 2012. Les performances en festivals extérieurs sont les préférées de nos fans. Très difficile à classer, le son des Limaces est groovy et mélodieux à la fois. Ils superposent de grosses basses bondissantes et des nappes tordues, créant ainsi des morceaux dansants et narratifs. Benoit, aka Melodule, is an all around musician. Since the very beginning, he creates the original tracks and remixes of the band with Alex, a self made computer specialist. Philippe is the teams DJ, performing on stage with Ben with over 5 hours of original music to adapt themselves to any situation and subtly bring the crowd on a journey in their universe. Les Limaces already have two albums released on Tasty Bytes Records, each one telling a unique story and as good while driving or on the dancefloor. They also produced many EPs and remixes on labels like Flow and ARVA Records. Their tracks are played pretty much everywhere and were recently heard on prestigious podcasts released by John Digweed and Armin Van Buuren. Les Limaces are now able to lean on solid performances, as much for clubs or major Canadian or International events. They actually performed a series of shows in Bogota, Columbia, in 2012. Outside festivals are the preferred venues of the bands fans. Very though to classify, their sound is melodic and groovy at the same time. Les Limaces can surimpose big bouncy basslines and twisted layers, thus creating tracks with a rich narrative and a strong dancing feeling.
