- Lost Pieces is the duo of Michael Gin and Donnie Lowe. Creating a deep and driving soundscape of beautiful 4x4 music.Lost Pieces is the production duo of, Donnie Lowe and Michael Gin. Mike and Donnie have been friends now for about 5 years. When the duo first met Michael was really deep in the trance and progressive scene, with Donnie leaning more on the House and Tech house side of things musically, so it was never really a proper fit between them, musically, but they always ran around with the same mutual friends and always had a respect for what each did and both had a massive love of 90s hip hop. The past few years Mike had started getting into some deeper stuff. After about a year or so of trying to get in the studio together we finally made it happen. The pair ended up doing a remix for Carlo Gambino on Over Recordings and from there on the pair were trying to sort a name that fit, since the chemistry in the studio was pretty magical. Lost Pieces is a reflection of how close they were to each other but there were pieces missing, that never allowed them to come together in a creative fashion, with both of our hearts laying firmly on the deep side of things those pieces have come together and it’s how Lost Pieces was born. The Lost Pieces sound is a more melodic deep techno style with hints of vocals, ever evolving drums and fat basslines that are soaked in melodies. The duo is working hard to develop a sound that is completely different than what is out there today. We don’t want to make any particular sound for certain labels because it’s not being true to ourselves and we honestly don’t want to sound like anybody else out there. Like our tag line says….We like to create a deep and driving soundscape of beautiful 4x4 music. In the short time Lost Pieces has been born, the duo has taken over some of the top venues in the US and are in constant rotation at Space Miami, Tree House Miami, FDR at Delano, Gryphon and many more.
