- Luca Distefano - Djset / Liveset / Liveset with Reactable Live!Luca Distefano is a dj/producer class '85, skilled in techno and electronic music. He's from Sicily, born in Catania which is the most fervent musical city in the nation. Since he was very young he has been a music lover: his passion for music brought him to learn to play piano as well as guitar by himself. When he was 20 he began his career as a dj enjoying at the very beginning nujazz music, then house and electronic music. During the course of his musical evolution he has defined time by time his style, which is become very influenced by deep and techno music. Luca collaborates with the most important parties in the island and he plays in the most trend clubs of Sicily and neighbourhoods. He is become dj resident of MercatiGenerali in Catania. In recent years, he has put its attentions on the production of live-sets and he has increasingly inproved its live performances; thanks to this, he has started to be well known out of Sicily and out of Italy, having important successes. Luca just loves technology applied to music; this is why in 2010 he began to use the "Reactable Live!" This is a very special new digital musical instrument: right now, there are only 20 units in all the world. To use the Reactable Live it's required a deep knowledge of music software and multimedia. Add to sounds, the Reactable Live creates also visual effects connected with the music. Thus, using this instrument during a live set means to create a real complete show! Thanks to his personal and professional skills add with his creativity, Luca is just able to create a unique set in the world, letting eyes and ears of the audience incredulous with his music, and making want to dance all night long. •••••• Luca Distefano, è un dj/producer classe '85, specializzato in techno ed elettronica. E' Siciliano, nato a Catania, la quale è una delle città musicalmente più ferventi in tutta la nazione. Sin da piccolo coltiva la passione per la musica che lo porta ad imparare a suonare tanto il pianoforte quanto la chitarra da autodidatta. Inizia la sua carriera come dj a 20 anni, iniziando a passare musica nujazz, poi house ed elettronica. Durante il corso della sua evoluzione musicale, Luca ha pian piano affinato il suo stile, che adesso guarda molto alla deep ed alla techno. Luca collabora e partecipa ai party più importanti della Sicilia, suonando nei club più trend della Sicilia e non. Attualmente è dj resident dei MercatiGenerali a Catania. Negli ultimi tempi si è concentrato sulle produzioni e sulla creazione di live set, migliorando esponenzialmente le sue performance live; grazie a questo ha iniziato ad essere conosciuto in Italia e all'estero, riportando importanti successi. Luca è un amante della tecnologia applicata alla musica; questo è il motivo per cui nel 2010 inizia ad usare il "Reactable Live!". Di questo nuovo e ambitissimo strumento di musica digitale ne esistono appena appena 20 unità in tutto il mondo. Per poter utilizzare il Reactable Live! occorre una profonda conoscenza di software musicali e multimedia. Insieme ai molteplici effetti sonori il Reactable Live crea anche effetti visivi collegati alla musica. Questo significa che il saper suonare tale strumento durante un live comporta la messa in scena di un vero e proprio show a 360 gradi.
