His passion for music began at the early age of 12 while watching one of his idols, DJ FRESH SA. At age 13, following in his idol’s footsteps, M-Tonic stepped into the local DJ scene.
He began DJ'ing at neighborhood house parties. It was here that M-Tonic fan base started and still continues to grow till this day. M-Tonic has since gained notoriety in the industry bu sharing the stage with artists such as Dj MBO, M-KAY,Dj Mballu(SA), !SOOKS, Karuendasoul (SA), Speech Umlangeni, The Scientist, Bokkie Ult (SA), Dj Ladu Zee, 2.0, Le Kronik, KhUZWago, Tira(SA), Shota (SA) 711, just to name a few. As he mastered the art of Dj'ing and fell in love with the sounds that he heard by mixing records and beat juggling, he wanted to take his craft to the next level and create the music that he played in the clubs. M_Tonic had discovered his passion for music production in 2017, he produced his first song titled "Amanguni ft. pastor snow". M-Tonic has worked on a number of projects. In 2019, M-Tonic was part of a collaboration which scored two nominations in the MTN SWAMA AWARDS 2019 with Speech Umlangeni and Lomasoul on a song titled "Baleka". In 2019, M-Tonic become the official DJ for EBIS 2 FM "Glow in the dark radio show" with host Fifi Dope.
