  • Breaking out across the Leeds music scene, Mak & Pasteman shared a penchant for UK underground music which brought them into the studio back in 2011.
    Through their collective influences, the duo have crafted a sound that sits between House & Techno but is thoroughly rooted in the UK. Since the duo’s inception they have released on various imprints, including Redlight’s Lobster Boy, Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy, Breach’s Naked Naked & Most Recently DJ Haus’ Unknown To The Unknown. The highly sought-after duo continue to expand their discography with new music coming on their own Materials imprint, delving deeper in analog synthesis & texture to create the raw sound they’re known for, as well a release schedule including some of the hottest and most cutting edge labels of the moment and supported by the biggest DJs in the game. The duo’s production talent is always in high demand, with recent remix projects including the HUGE “Weak” for Maya Jane Coles as well as having their Utopia Project remix being included on Defected’s latest compilation “Defected Presents DJ Haus in the House.” As well as producing the goods in the studio, the boys are well known for throwing down high-energy sets at the best clubs and festivals in the UK and around the world. This year alone, Mak & Pasteman have smashed dance floors including Electric Brixton, Canal Mills, Camp & Furnace, Motion, Ministry of Sound, Hideout Festival, Amnesia, Rainbow Venues and Warehouse Project. If their history is anything to go by Mak and Pasteman will continue to deliver a sound that is both uncompromising and true to their roots and with 2018 set to be one of their strongest yet, expect to see the boys at the forefront of the scene in 2019 and beyond…
