- Portuguese Dj/Producer based in Lisbon Owner and founder of @nugsonboardlabel Member of @kaizenrecordsberlinJoão Manata is one of the new artists featured on the national scene. Born in a small village in the district of Santarém, he showed from an early age his taste for music and diggin, inheriting a large part of his father's vinyl collection. He started out playing in small bars and local parties, but it was in 2011, when he moved to Lisbon, that he started to gain recognition as a DJ. Between 2015 and 2018 he belonged to Ribatexas artist range and in 2019 he joined the German label Kaizenrecordsberlin. That same year he started his own label - Nugs On Board.
