- Kyoto based producer/DJ.Masahiko Takeda, born 1987 in Kyoto, is a Japanese artist, electronic musician and DJ based in Kyoto. Graduated from the department of commercial science, Doshisha University and CoutureTailoring, Central Saint Martins. After his works as a music band 'Velveljin' and electronic music unit 'Rexikom', he started to create his solo sound projects and performances. He released the EP and tracks from French music label Récit, shrine.jp's sub label MYTH and another music labels. In parallel, he has designed sound performances for art installations, contemporary dance or fashion shows, often in collaboration with other artists. Recently, he has focused on more multidisciplinary works, aiming to mix different medias and Japanese traditional concepts. His projects have been presented in different institutions and events such as Kyoto Art Centre, Towada Art Centre, Kyoto City University of Arts Art Gallery @kcua, Roam Theatre Kyoto, Nuit Blanche Kyoto, Kyotographie, Hors Pistes Kyoto and so on.
