- DJ MAYURI During 4 years of her stay in London in the late 80's, she was heavily influenced by London club music scene and Acid House movement. Upon returning to Japan in 1991, she started her dj career and organizing underground parties in Tokyo...DJ MAYURI During 4 years of her stay in London in the late 80's, she was heavily influenced by London club music scene and Acid House movement. Upon returning to Japan in 1991, she started her dj career and organizing underground parties in Tokyo. Rapidly gaining notoriety for her dj skills and diverse sets she found herself being invited to play in clubs all the way across Japan. Establishing a name for herself on the back of this success, she took my dj carreer worldwide, traveling across the globe and playing in the major cities of Asia, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. She has a residency at Reboot, one of the most respected, the longest run Techno party in Japan which celebrated its 13th anniversary this year. She also has a residency at Fiercesounds, playing regularly for them in Japan and London. She has released techno Mix CD "Reboot 2" in 2003, tech house Mix CD "MUSA" in 2007, minimal techno Mix CD "CB SESSION in 2008, and "A PIECE OF TECHNO" in 2009. She also released 3 vinyls under the name of Red Scorpion and MAYURI & SALMON "counter current" on Dogmatic Record. She is also known as a promoter for Metamorphose festival which is the biggest all-night outdoor festival in Japan. Its 13th edition is scheduled to take a place 12th May 2012 at Makuhari Messe in Japan.
