- Michael Canitrot is a French Dj & music producer. He's the founder of the notorious MONUMENTAL TOUR concepts, events celebrating electronic music & heritage in iconic monuments since 2019.From flashes at the Olympia to the centuries-old spirituality of Mont Saint-Michel, Michael Canitrot's journey has always been fueled by various challenges. After cultivating his musical culture in the most coveted clubs around the world, from Ibiza to Tokyo, London, Miami, and Rio, the creator of the 'SoHappy In Paris' concept quickly ventured out of his comfort zone. He either served the leading French luxury brands or broadcasted his musical selections from the prestigious red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival. Passionate about heritage since his childhood, Michael Canitrot secretly dreamt of making monuments dance. With his Monumental Tour concept initiated in 2020, he does it in the most beautiful way possible. Each performance is a true artistic and human challenge, involving the necessity to create tailor-made works to adorn the gray stone with colors and cement the timeless with the infinite rhythm movement of electronic music. Michael Canitrot has painstakingly built the success of Monumental, a musical adventure nestled in the most remarkable monuments, featuring DJ sets combined with video projections, lighting scenography, and visual effects that bring the whole experience to life. These breathtaking settings enhance his melodic techno& progressive house compositions, creating performances that stimulate the imagination and captivate audiences of all ages. Whether it's at the summit of the imposing façade of the Château de Vincennes or in the tranquil setting of the Mont-Saint-Michel abbey square, through the impressive Phare des Baleines or the Cathedral of Laon, Michael Canitrot accumulates spectacular videos and amazes millions of internet users. Each mix draws from both the organic and electronic worlds, where heritage is moved by the universal emotions that melodies and binary rhythms effortlessly transcend. The artist, whose international career took off in 2010 with a memorable concert from the top of the Eiffel Tower - a sign of things to come - has truly evolved. In the shadows of his studio or alone immersed in places that inspire humility and contemplation, his creativity knows no bounds. In 2022, he even captivated over 6 million people with a mix broadcasted on France 2, recorded amid the fireworks at Château de Chantilly, providing an extraordinary experience for the public; This achievement brought him to the attention of the Palais-Royal in Paris, where he celebrated the French presidency of the European Union in the spring of 2022, at the request of the Ministry of Culture. In early 2023, Michael Canitrot announced four MONUMENTAL dates. He performed in Nancy, in front of 22,000 people at Place Stanislas on September 15th (but also this year at Château de Blois, Abbaye de Maillezais, and Cathedral of Laon). The DJ and producer still has many wonders of our heritage to animate with all the imagination that characterizes him and, as a common thread, the intimate ambition to establishelectronic music as part of the most respected arts. His latest single single "Momentum" was released on October 6th. Michael Canitrot will perform at the Palazzo Ducale of Genova in Italy on October 20th, and for the opening of the Cité Internationale de de la Langue Française at the Château de Villers-Cotterêts on October 28th.
