- With a career kicking off in 1989, Mike Acetate has built himself a solid reputation as a DJ and Producer and of course owner of Sydney’s Infamous Acetate Record Bar.Heading up the San Francisco Deep House Project with long time friend and DHP founder Carlos Gibbs, together they have released more that 30 tracks through DHP and had tracks featured on labels and compilations such as Tom Middleton’s recent Renaissance, Freerange, Hemmesphere and many more. Artists such as Jimpster, Roy Davis Jr, Milton Jackson, Spettro, and Shur-I-Kan are all lending their talents to DHP. With names like that it’s clear to see why mike has cemented a solid foundation for himself in the dance music community. Mike has often been referred to as the “Dj’s Dj”.... And this is not a term used lightly these days, with so many dj’s coming through the ranks over the last few years Mike’s name is defiantly one that commands respect from his peers and anyone who has had a chance to catch one of his live sets.
