- Music Producer/DJ & Owner of Waveform RecordingsBorn and raised in NY, Mike Frade discovered his talent for music at the young age of 5, when he started playing the piano. By his early teens, he was already producing beats for local hip hop artists and Deejaying for them on stage. He simultaneously developed a taste for house music while being exposed to it at the clubs he frequented during his summer trips to Portugal, where minimum age laws are practically non-existent. It wasn't until the people around him kept reminding him of his natural songwriting abilities - a rare gift in itself - that he finally decided to pursue a professional music career. In 2002, Mike officially began releasing his own house music. After hearing his music played by legendary dj Victor Calderone at New York City's Club Pacha on New Year's day 2008, the two met and immediately began collaborating musically. Shortly after, they formed Waveform Recordings, an underground Brooklyn-based record label and music production company. From his music to the Waveform sample packs, Mike Frade is proving to be a leader of innovation, with his releases as captivating as they are stylistically unpredictable.
