- Miss Crafty is a fierce electronic music producer and DJ born and raised in San Francisco, California.Boldly expressing her first-generation Chinese-American and queer identities, Miss Crafty’s creative exploration of electronic music transports you on an auditory journey. A San Francisco native, her introduction to the vibrant underground rave culture of the early 2010s prompted her immersion into the scene. From sneaking out of her childhood home to revel in the San Francisco/Oakland rave scene, to falling in love with techno at Fast Forward Productions warehouse parties in Copenhagen, to getting lost in the entrancing dungeons of Berlin, and most recently DJing in abandoned prisons, schools, and gyms in Mexico City - Miss Crafty’s musical style serves as a dynamic reflection of her nomadic journey, a fusion of the places she’s called home. Unapologetically rebellious and refusing to be confined by any single genre, she breathes fire into her mixes, infusing each one with raw emotion and unbridled creativity. From techno to breakbeats, electro to drum n bass, trance to hardcore, and even ventures into downtempo and ambient territory, Miss Crafty fearlessly experiments and pushes the envelope of her artistry. Her releases with OBSKUR Music in Canada, Vexed Sphere in San Francisco, and WVWV in Mexico City embody her unyielding versatility and constant desire to reinvent herself, painting the vibrant palette of her music. Her anticipated EP in 2024 will mark an exciting new chapter in her career, revealing the complexity that lies within Miss Crafty, far beyond what meets the eye. Beyond her musical prowess, Miss Crafty assumes the role of an empowering force, organizing parties in San Francisco and Mexico City.
