- MR.MATSA (LABROCK/DA-TRAXX RECORDINGS) AVIGNONDj since 1994, producer and remixer, matsa is one of the best french turntablism technicians. Previously member of the Marsilian “Turntable Dragunz” crew (La Cosca, Iam), he has played several times along with the DMC France and the DMC Canada (videos, dvds akd mix): sponsored by Ecler and Vestax, we have seen him doing scratch demos and showcases (Siel Fairshow, Mix Moove...) for several years. Participating in Hip Hop, Trip Hop and Lounge compilations such as GASOLINE, BATTLE WEAPONS, HYPER CUT, KOLLECTIF K, FONDAMENTAL KARTEL, LAB ROK GROOVE, DOPE BEATS by Le Peuple de l’Herbe, he has performed with the biggest names of the electronic, Techno, Hip Hop and Soul Jazz Funk scenes : Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, Josh Wink, Dj Spinna, Dj Vadim, Maceo Parker, Roy Ayers. Performing all around Europe and abroad in clubs and festivals (Les Nuits Sonores in Lyon, Marsatac in Marseille, The Midem in Cannes, The Montréal’s Francofolies, The Fabrik Live in London, The Ispo in Munich, Les Bains in Paris), he plays with the turntables like others would do with their instrument. After having been resident in the prestigious Pourcel brothers’ ‘Compagnie des Comptoirs’ (Avignon, Sète) from 2005 to 2007, he is now one of the official producers (in NU BREAK or FUNKY BREAK ELECTRO) of the Cedric Benoit a.k.a.
