- Nina´s sound extends beyond the border of rigid ritual rhythms, endless sonic soundscapes and dirty dark techno, noise and industrial forces. She purposefully deconstructs once created, in an effort to re-create deep stories flowing into space.Nina Pixel is part of the audio-visual group Hertz | Kunst-Plattform from Brno and female:pressure from Berlin. In her sets, together with fragments of tracks, layered between each other, she uses field recordings, where cumulating and sticking metal sounds together with concrete echoes are tapping and cracking in rhythmical never-ending journeys. Nina is actively participating in organising Hertz audio-visual shows since 2012. Her music often contains field recordings and sound experiments with organic objects. Her inspiration comes from deep forests of Slovakia, dark fairy tales and myths.Her sonic stories smell like a forestal soil, soaked with rotten bodies of magical plants and wild animals.
