- With 15 years in the Electronic music scene and dj’ing all over the globe, from supporting the Pet Shop Boys in Lisbon, Madonna's pre party in London, to over half a million people at the Love Parade in Budapest with Nick Warren.Born in London, Paul started djing at the age of 17 where he came across some turntables at a house party, from that day he was hooked. In 1995 he started at Jackpot Records & 7pm Management, who were at the time agents for DJs Sasha, John Digweed, Carl Cox and Danny Howells. Whilst dabbling in some A&R, and DJ management, and getting his first taste of making his first record, Paul also became resident dj for Jackpots weekly night at Subterrania London with Danny. There after he went on to guest all over the country sharpening his skills before hitting the International club circuit. Since then, Paul has guested all over the Globe, from playing with Danny Tenaglia & Carl Cox at the Dance Star Awards in London, supporting the Pet Shop Boys in Lisbon, Madonna's pre party in London, to over half a million people at the Love Parade in Budapest with Nick Warren. In 2000 he hooked up with an old college friend Mark O’Brien, who like Paul, was getting itchy feet to start writing music and set up a studio, so Sumsonic Recordings was born. Paul’s first single on Sumsonic "Lazy Monday" made no less than 6 compilations worldwide including Perfecto with Hernan Cattaneo. Shortly after, Deepdish used his best selling single on Sumsonic “Krafty” for their Toronto Global Underground compilation. After leaving Sumsonic in 2005 for Greener pastures, Paul is now back in the studio and has just remixed Interlater by Skylark (Nic Fanciulli & Andy Chatterley) with Pete Tong. Three tracks written with Stretch Silvester, one of which has just been requested for Nick Warren's new Global Underground Lima compilation to be released September 2008. Also another exciting collaboration with Darren Emerson in the pipeline. www.myspace.com/djpaulrogers www.djpaulrogers.com With tracks & remixes on over 70 compilations, Paul has become an independent record producer and engineer in his own right, with music licenses from brands such as Global Underground and Cafe Del Mar, to television adverts for Channel 4, documentaries for National Geographic and numerous links for Sky television. TV & Film - The last 2 years has seen Paul writing music in mind for CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) with DJ Sasha and Grammy nominated producer Barry Jamieson. Other alternative projects written with Barry, are a documentary for National Geographic about the Lost City Of Atlantis and a Peroni Beer TV commercial. British TV Companies, Channel 4 television, BBC 1 & 2, ITV and also Sky TV and many other various International TV broadcasts have been a continuous outlet for Paul's alternative productions. Work with Pete Tong - In 2007 Pete requested Paul's assistance to help him with a new live system for his live gigs on the road. Paul continues to work with Pete on various new projects such as his first movie to be released on Myspace by Hammer Films "Beyond The Rave" of which four tracks have been selected and especially written. After just engineering Pete's new Wonderland compilation for 2008, they are now working on remix and single projects together from the famous Olympic studios in Barnes. Work with DJ Sasha - From helping develop a consistent and solid editing system for Ableton Live, to road testing controllers and sound tech'ing. Now working on Alternative music production for TV & Film.
