- Penelope Martin is a Spanish DJ and producer from Spain. Her sets and productions cover a large part of the frequency spectrum oscillating between the Techno and the Electronic music.Penélope Martín (born in Granada) is a Spanish DJ and producer. Her sets and productions include a broad spectrum of frecuencies which go from the most industrial and rawest Techno to the most atmospheric and experimental electronic sounds. This is the result of a long process of creation which started in the mid nineties in her hometown of Granada and continued to polish all over Spain DJing at emblematic clubs such as Industrial Copera (Granada), Rocamar (Gijón), La Real (Oviedo), and Fabrik (Madrid). She was also a resident at Coocon, Rexxistance and a promoter of the LFO Club (Madrid), She also travelled beyond our boundaries to DJing at Sala Cinema and Pink Organization (Bogotá, Colombia). Sha has also shared the DJ booth with famous artists such as Oscar Mulero, Regis, Surgeon, James Ruskin, Marco Carola and Ben Sims among others. She depurates her production style in important cities: Madrid, Munich, Brighton. She was also the cofounder of the label based in Madrid Ultrix Records. In 2007, Penélope took part in the project Zwischenwelt, the new lab of Heinrich Mueller (Gerald Donald, Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Arpanet). In 2011, they released the album (Paranormale Aktivitat), Spectral Electrónicazz which echoes parallel dimensions and paranormal acticivty with the label Rephlex. ArD2 (formed in 2007 in UK) is the result of her collaboration with the producer from Madrid, Ekis. Their creations embody science fiction electro whose starting point is the famous novel 1984 by George Orwell, which reflects his harsh view of the totalitarian states. This futuristic story is narrated through sonic illustrations, dense atmospheres and sinister dialogues. Their first work was issued on 12" and digital LP zz by Frigio Records in 2010, ArD2 are now concentrating on developing and updating these ideas in their future productions. In 2009, Under the name of Anharmonic System, Penélope and Ekis focused their energies on creating an industrial Techno and they edited some works with Tsunami Records, a reference label in the international techno scene. In the year 2012, for second time she teamed up with Gerald Donald to collaborate with DJ Stingray on the project NRSB-11. Once again, Penélope adds to the equation her own personal production style. The album Commodified is the result of a joint effort of these three producers. It was released by the Belgian label WeMe in 2013. At present, they keep on working on this project. At the end of 2013, Penélope and Ekis launched Night Lights Ep, a new work by ArD2 which was issued on Seti Recordings label, a company in which she is the cofounder. In the spring of 2014, she produced one of the tracks for the digital edition of“Padded Cell” with Seti Recordings together with Ekis , Zen-O-Bit3 and Koaxial. In 2015, she will launch a new track in the 808 Box by Fundamental Records label with Plant 43, Scape One, Boris Divider, Alek Stark, UHU to name just a few of the important artists who are taking part in this compilation.
