- Releasing music since the early 1990s, breaching a myriad of styles, Pete Grove remains low key while pushing forward consistently, exploring stylistic fusion with creative energy...Performing and producing electronic music as Sunkissed, Breakwater, Hues, Motion Sensor, Streetlights, Aft Lounge Tech, and Pablo Spice, while writing modern new wave pop as Candlewax, Pete Grove's works are weathered by experience, but pure with curiosity and innocence. Pete first gained recognition with his early efforts in techno and tech house while performing live as Sunkissed in the club and party scene of Toronto and surrounding areas in the 1990s. Developing a relationship with John Acquaviva and Richie Hawtin landed him an office job with Plus 8 records and paved the way for his first release as Sunkissed on Definitive Records. This release also led to Pete's first live performances at European festivals. Inspired by his mentors, Pete launched the next Sunkissed releases under his own independent label, Woodwork Recordings. Woodwork Recordings emerged in the late 1990s, releasing early incarnations of tech house on vinyl EPs with full-length live mixes on cassette.
