- Official Page of PHRAA! Resident dj of WAKE MUSIC Owner of ClassiqueFrancesco Bottalico aka PHRAA. His pseudonym since 2014, after moving to north-Italy where he lives his second musical youth. Born with hip hop and rap grooves in his veins, in 2003 he discovers the world of house music and begins to participate to parties and afterparties in his town. Fascinated by this universe, he wants to become the Polar Star of it: the DJ. His career started in 2004, with the aka LBOT, when he plays in small parties and in afterparties. This is enough to attract big promoters and organizations of the area, who are surprised by the alternative sound and the technique even though not refined, but still clean and always loved by the dancefloor for his music and his ability to rock with unknown music. In 2005 he joined THE FLAME crew, one of the first underground organizations in Italy and became the resident DJ. In those years he performed as resident dj and guest dj in clubs like Divinae Follie, Gwendalina, Quartiere latino, Bylla's, Nautilus and others. Sharing the stage with big names like Timo Mass, Pan-Pot, Terry Francys, Carl Craig, Guillame, Ilario Alicante, Michel Cleis, Andrea Fiorito and many more. In 2009 he decided to take his first step as a producer, changing the name from LBOT to his real name. He released an EP on british Black and White Orange Records with remixes by Philipp Ort, Ray Rodriguez and Horatio and two remixes on argentinian PILD Records plus two tracks on Cimelde Records in a V.A. release. In 2012 he left The Flame, abecoming resident of Sunshine crew, organization situated in Puglia and famous for afterparties, open-air events and its musical open minded style. At the same time he joined other crews in the underground music scene, performing with artists as Marco Zenker, Ana, Rebekah Aff, Adam X, Tracy, Miss Sunshine, Luciano Esse, Nico Lahs and others in clubs like 101theclub,The Bunker, Loft, Oasi ecc. Also Owner of events as SHIBUYA, EXPLOIT, FIRE DEPARTMENT, FRIDAY NIGHT. His name appears on the lineup of two of the most important festivals of the south of Italy: Gwendalina Music Festival and Sunshine Music Festival. On North Italy be there on 1st edition of Size Festival. His dj sets and musical productions are really techy and he loves acid sounds and dub grooves, nevertheless he can not be confined in a definite music style. As a matter of fact he loves to experiment, always. Two years ago he launched his new music identity as PHRAA. Founding Classique and releasing his first ep of SK Recordings.
