- Rafael Noronha dj and producer from Brazil, label manager from Lo Kik RecordsRAFAEL NORONHA (Lo kik Records) After a long time listening and getting involved with electronic music, Rafael Noronha has been playing as a DJ for almost nine years. His hometown, Santos (Sao Paolo), was the first scenario to present his sets. So really soon he started to show himself off among other artists and never stopped since then. His sets were always full of new trends and at the same time connected to renowned mix technics and a lot of groove, followed by spotless musical taste. These are some unique attributes of this young, but experienced, DJ. Really soon he was considered one of the best DJs in Brazil, been twice one of the finalists of the DJ Sound Awards and also one of the big winners in 2009 of an awards that is reference at Brazilian electronic music scene. Rafael Noronha is also always present at the best parties and clubs in Brazil, he had been travelled practically all the states. During 2009, 2010 and 2011 he has toured internationally with appearances in Miami/USA, during the Winter Music Conference week highlighting famous artists like Nikki Beach. And also traveling through north of the country at New York, Boston, Newark and Providence. In 2010 he had a tour in South Africa and featured in three different cities, counting with full house in all of them. And finally tours at UK, Holland, Spain, Israel and Bolivia. He is considered of the biggest promises at the national production scene and has a lot of successful works and remixes done to big names of worldwide electronic scene. Names like Gui Borato, D-Nox & Beckers, Faithless, Paolo Mojo, Glenn Morisson, Adam K, SweetMad, Lissat & Voltaxx and John Rundell had remixes of their songs touched by the promising artist. Just a few Brazilian artists has as much experience as him in this segment. In April 2009, Rafael Noronha launched his first remixed CD, the Lo kik Night, which received immediate international response and the positive reviews from specialized web sites. One of his productions had the privilege to be part of European Summer set, called “Join Your Revolution”, from the club Space Ibiza and mixed for the legend Carl Cox. Continuing the success he was the first Brazilian to have one of his tracks remixed for another international techno legend, Umek, A lot of his tracks reached top sales in electronic music web site, specially Beatport where he is constant presence, with tracks launched by labels like Lo kik Records, 303 Lovers, Hotfingers, Perception Music, Movida Music, Teggno records, Dirt Players Records, Klimarks Music and many others. Rafael Noronha has his own label called Lo kik Records, one of the biggest and most active national records. Lo kik Records is considered reference in electronic music abroad and it was voted the best Brazilian record in 2010 for “DJ Mag Brasil” magazine. Currently Rafael Noronha is dedicating his time f to sets that float through segments of House Music and also to his own productions. His new mixed compilation will be launched in 2011 followed by his tours at USA and Europe.
